Our Community
A mainly residential electorate, Ashgrove has a vibrant and engaging community atmosphere. It takes in the suburbs of Ashgrove, Enoggera, and The Gap and parts of Alderley, Bardon, Newmarket and most of Gaythorne. Extending west to include Enoggera Reserve, Ashgrove is bordered by Coopers Camp Road and Jubilee Terrace in the south and Enoggera and Samford Roads in the east and north.
Kate was first elected to Ashgrove in 2006, replacing Jim Fouras, another Labor Party Member and former Speaker of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. There are around 28 000 registered voters on the Electoral Roll.
